“As long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.” — 2 Chronicles 26:5b

The secret to Uzziah’s early success wasn’t his crown, his army, or his strategy—it was this simple truth: “As long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.” Seeking God was the anchor that held everything else together.

The same is true for us today. Real success is not measured by our titles, our bank accounts, or the applause of people. It’s measured by how faithfully we lean on God. When we place Him first, He aligns our steps, provides wisdom, and sustains us with peace that no circumstance can shake.

True strength doesn’t come from striving harder, but from seeking deeper.

“The strongest step you can ever take is the step that bends your knees before God.”

A young woman prepared for a major exam. She stacked her books, organized her notes, and highlighted every page. But before diving into study, she bowed her head and whispered, “Lord, give me wisdom.”

When exam day arrived, she walked in with a calm that didn’t come from her preparation, but from her Source. The same is true for us—our greatest strength is found in seeking God first. That’s the strength Uzziah experienced: God’s wisdom guiding every step.

  1. Seeking God is the foundation of lasting strength.
  2. Prosperity flows from His presence, not our performance.
  3. Dependence on God brings peace, not pressure.

When was the last time you paused to seek God before making a decision?

Create a rhythm of seeking. Before your day begins, before your next choice, or even before a conversation—pause and whisper, “Lord, guide me.” This habit invites His wisdom and peace into every step you take.

Father, I don’t want to run ahead of You. Teach me to seek Your face daily and to depend on Your presence more than my own effort. Help me to remember that real success flows not from my performance, but from Your hand. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The wisest kings and the strongest leaders all share one secret: they seek God first. Make that your secret too, and you’ll find strength for every step of your journey.
